One of my favorite things to buy at the farmer’s market is local honey. Is it a little extra expense? Maybe. But I always take a long time to go through all my honey, so it’s not a frequent cost, and besides thinking of the bee keepers, busily tending to their bees, maintaining the little white and pastel-colored boxes that become the bees’ home, I like to think of the honey bee, endangered as she is, journeying far from her hive until she reaches a pasture of clovers. She busily buzzes from blossom to blossom, gathering food and spreading pollen for the plants at the same time.

This lovely little wooden pin is printed with my watercolor illustration of an ideal honey jar with clovers tossed around, and is part of the spring floral collection of wooden pins for Cottonbook. It makes me want to stir something sweet into my tea right now!
